Skin conditions

The skin forms the largest organ of the body and consists of three layers; the epidermis (outermost layer), the dermis (below the epidermis) and the subcutaneous layer (deep layer of fat). The skin has many functions including physical protection, waterproofing, temperature regulation, waste excretion, vitamin D production and sensory feedback. There are many issues with the skin that can become chronic and have a big impact on a persons quality of life; these being eczema, psoriasis and acne. The skin can be greatly influenced by food sensitivities, environmental sensitivities and certain nutrients lacking in the diet. Our screening can investigate possible triggers and can help you on the path to healthy skin.
